Try To Take This Seriously
My sister and I have always wanted to "give advice." We are both Psych majors at the University of Texas at Austin. Here is our take on the typical advice blog. Just trying to help make the world a better place: one sarcastic comment at a time.

Man Up
This is a new thing for
me. I have decided that the best thing to do in a hurtful situation is to let
it hurt you and then grow from the pain. Let it mess your sh*t up and then man
up and make yourself a better person in spite of it. Harder than it sounds
obviously but as long as you keep your goals in mind you will be better off for
it. So when something shitty happens to you, mope around, cry about it, whatever. Just make sure you pick your self up after and move on with your
beautiful life.
Keep It Classy
Now this is a tough lesson
to explain because the level of classiness required varies between situations.
The best way to gauge what
you should do in a particular situation is to be aware of your surroundings and also remember
FBGM. We are all for making mistakes, that is how people learn. However, you should never be peer
pressured into making them. That said, if you wanna get swasty faced at a party
and makeout with everyone there. Do it. But if you’re just doing it for
attention or because “everyone else is doing it” then you should probably reevaluate somethings in your life.
F*ck Bitches Get Money
This is one of the most
important lessons to learn in life. The meaning isn’t literal. FBGM, is a way of life
that means not worrying about anyone else. It means taking care of yourself and do what
you think is right for you.
And by take care of
yourself, we don’t mean be a selfish bitch who only things of #1. We mean be
good to yourself. Be who you are and have as much fun as you can.
Learn it, live it.
Less Is More
Another makeup rant: makeup should enhance your beauty. If you can scrap the makeup off your face,
you are doing it wrong. I swear, guys won’t notice a thing about your makeup
except when it is caked on your face. You might think you are cleverly
disguising the stress acne on your chin or the scar you got from burning yourself with your curling iron by piling on the product but trust me less is
more. USE CONCEALER. There are thousands of tutorials on YouTube. Here are our
favorites:
American Flag Eye Shadow
If your eye makeup looks
like the American flag, you are doing it wrong. I am sure you have seen this
look before: primary colors. I am talking about the snow-white highlighter
color, solid blue over the lid, and red lipstick you probably stole from your
mom’s makeup bag. I bet some of you are wondering, “Who would do this?” These
are the same young ladies that prompted manufactures to put “do not use in the
bathtub” labels on hairdryers. Some people just really don’t have a clue.
Luckily, we are here to educate.
Note:
don’t be embarrassed if you have done all these things before. Actually on
second thought, you should be embarrassed but now that you know, you have no
excuse. One of the greatest things in life is to learn from your mistakes and
make yourself a better human being, or in this case at least a prettier one. ;)
